T&T Birthday lunch, January 2019
Organised by our new Secretary Pam King, in The Bell, Winslow. A good time was had by all! February / March 2019, Our speakers were Arthur Evans retired teacher & Ana Conti on Stained Glass May 2019 We discussed nominations for the 2019 WI resolutions and were entertained by our own Janet Glew & her Perfume Bottle collection. June / July 2019 Two fascinating women speakers; Maria Greenhill Reducing Chemical Load and Gilly Pusey spinning, knitting & dyeing August / September 2019 Our August meeting is traditionally held 'somewhere else'' and this year we were invited to Thornton school. September we heard about the history & practice of Reiki. October 2019 Ray Rowlson inspired us with his recent visits to Turkey |

Ukulele festive cheer, December 2018
The band was a delight – complete with songsheets to encourage audience participation, All players (and one drummer) performed with such energy and enthusiasm. Autumn colours September 2018 Spectacular images and photos presented by Dr John Noakes illustrating his talk about the colours of Autumn. Announcements of forthcoming changes to our WI President, Secretary and Events Secretary too. Peru & Bolivia meets resolutions... April and May 2018 Another memorable presentation from Roy Rolinson including his amazing photography. Then Resolutions in May. What has Science ever done for us? and much more... March and April 2018 George Higgins gave a wide ranging talk answering that very question. It was entertaining and thought provoking. No January meeting but plenty to talk about in 2018 A bit about Christmas, advertising the February meeting, resolutions and WIGS our local WI Gastronomic Services. |

Hedgerow spirits, Juggling and Homes to go to event, October & November 2017
Local residents thoroughly enjoyed our Hedgerow spirit night in October. The BFWI Homes to go to event in Wolverton raised our awareness about this very serious issue. Nigel entertained us with the history of juggling in November. Buckinghamshire WI craft competition & RNLI talk, August & September 2017 This year's competition theme was to create a Victorian room. The Royal National Lifeboats Institute talk was illuminating. North to Alaska, April 2017 Clive Pepper gave a delightful talk with many tales of his Alaskan travels. It is a spectacular place to visit and offers some unexpected quirky details. The Silk Road, February 2017 Roy and Jenny Rowlson gave an excellent account of their most recent exotic journey to the Orient. Superb photography and an amazing insight into a foreign land. Men in Sheds, January 2017 Andy Savage gave an overview of both the Buckingham Shed as well as highlighting other local and national "Sheds". Possibly a parallel universe to the WI?!?!?! Read on. Thornton resident Tove Biagi & her colleague Clementine, Maids Moreton, spoke eloquently about the world of good health & herbal medicine particularly in relation to women's issues. Cake decorating, April 2016
